Frequently asked questions

I understand having an aesthetic treatment can feel daunting. Here are the questions I'm asked most often, with straight answers. If yours isn't here, please get in touch.

The questions run in order: booking and payment, before your appointment, on the day, aftercare, and finding the clinic. For questions about a particular treatment, see its page on the treatment list, or the side-by-side treatment guides.

Booking and payment

How do I book an appointment?

You can book your appointment by clicking the Book button at the top of any page, or by going straight to the booking page. Select the treatment you require, then look for a date and time that is convenient for you. Not sure which treatment? Book a consultation and we will work it out together. If you would rather ask a question first, message me on WhatsApp on 07824 367575.

Is the consultation fee redeemable?

Yes. A consultation is £30, and the fee is fully redeemable against any treatment on the day. If you decide to go ahead there and then, the £30 comes off your treatment. If you would rather go away and think about it, that is absolutely fine.

What payment methods are available?

You pay a £30 deposit to secure your appointment when you book online. The balance is paid on the day, by card in the clinic. All major debit and credit cards are accepted.

How can I pay?

Card payments, including your deposit, are taken securely through my booking system. Ask me about payment options.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable. You can reschedule your appointment and your deposit will be transferred over to your future booking, as long as you contact me at least 48 hours before your appointment.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. Gift cards can be bought online for £50 to £500, or a custom amount, and are sent by email. They are valid for 12 months from purchase. Buy a gift card.

Before your appointment

What happens at a consultation?

We sit down together and talk through your skin concerns, your goals and your medical history. I assess your face and skin properly, explain which treatments would help, and give you a tailored plan with options and prices. Consultations are booked for an hour, so nobody is rushed. You can treat today or later: no pressure, ever.

Can I book a bespoke treatment plan for a wedding or event?

Yes, I do bespoke treatment plans. Book a consultation and tell me the date, whether it is your own wedding, a wedding you are going to or any other big occasion. I will put together a plan that works back from the day, so every treatment has time to settle before the photos. For some treatments I like to see you more than once beforehand, so the earlier you come to see me, the more we can do. Around six months before is ideal.

How old do you have to be to have a treatment?

You must be aged 18 years or over. It is against the law to give anti-wrinkle injections or dermal filler to anyone under 18, even with parental consent, and I apply the same rule to every treatment I offer. You may be asked to provide ID before treatment.

Can I have a treatment if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. You are unable to receive any treatment whilst pregnant or breastfeeding. You are very welcome to book in once you have finished breastfeeding.

I have a phobia of needles. Can I still have a treatment?

I understand that clients can be nervous about having an aesthetic treatment. Please let me know if you have a phobia of needles. In some cases, I can allow additional time to help you relax and settle in before the treatment, and for some treatments, such as polynucleotides, I apply numbing cream first. I am here to help you feel comfortable and to answer any questions you may have.

Do you treat men?

Yes. Most of my clients are women, but men are very welcome, and my clinic is LGBTQ+ friendly. The approach is the same for everyone: natural results, never “done”.

On the day

Who will treat me?

Me, Hayley, every time. I treat every client myself, so the person you meet at your consultation is the person who treats you and looks after your aftercare. No handovers.

How long will my appointment take?

Most treatments take between 30 minutes and an hour, and a consultation is booked for an hour. The larger filler packages take up to two hours.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes. If having someone with you helps you relax, you are welcome to bring a friend.

Aftercare

Will I bruise?

Bruising and swelling are common side effects of any aesthetic treatment. You have thousands of tiny capillaries and larger blood vessels in the face, which means there may be a chance of bruising. Please plan your treatment for a time when you do not have any upcoming events; as a rule of thumb, leave at least two weeks before a big occasion. Get in touch for more information about recovery periods and I can advise accordingly.

Can I wear make-up after treatment?

Leave your skin bare for at least 12 hours after an injectable treatment, and ideally until the next day, because make-up can carry bacteria into the tiny injection points. Please also avoid exercise for 24 hours. You will be given detailed aftercare instructions for your treatment, including exactly when you can wear make-up again.

What if I am unhappy with my result?

Tell me. I would much rather hear from you than have you worry about it. We will arrange a review appointment and look at it together. Anti-wrinkle treatment has a review 2 to 4 weeks afterwards, when small adjustments can be made. Filler can be adjusted, or dissolved if needed.

Finding the clinic

How do I find the clinic?

The clinic is at 260 Pentonville Road, London N1 9JY. My treatment room is inside Minsony, so push the front door and take a seat in reception. There is a map on the contact page, or open it in Google Maps.

What is the nearest station?

King’s Cross St Pancras, a short walk away. It is served by the Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, plus Thameslink and national rail. Angel is also within walking distance. Clients come from Islington, Camden, Farringdon and across London.

Is there parking?

There is no parking on Pentonville Road itself, so public transport is usually the easiest way to get here. If you do need to drive, you may find a space on nearby residential streets, so allow extra time.

When are you open?

Tuesday and Wednesday 10:30am to 7:30pm, Thursday and Friday 9:30am to 6pm, and Saturday 10am to 3pm. Closed on Sunday and Monday. The later appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday are handy if you are coming after work.
